Pastry Chef Jamie Ream Wins Gold!

On The Potomac, Lansdowne Resort’s upscale, casual restaurant, was thrilled to participate in the 22nd Annual Chocolates Galore & More! event last Friday evening. Pastry Chef Jamie Ream featured a Chocolate Peanut Butter Torte, consisting of layers of homemade cheesecake, chocolate cake and peanut butter, all covered in chocolate and topped with sweet and spicy peanuts.

Pastry Chef Jamie Ream with her AwardsThe dessert, sampled by hundreds of attendees, was awarded with “Best Dessert Taste” in both the Critic’s Choice and People’s Choice categories. Best of all, the event raised $30,000 for YMCA’s Building Bridges Campaign that provides scholarships for summer day camps and after-school programs to area families in need.

“I loved putting this desert together and knowing that the proceeds went for a valuable cause made it even more special. I look forward to doing this again next year,” said Jamie.
